What Type of Verification Is Required for Hardship?

For verification, we may ask for documentation such as a copy of a utility bill showing an overdue balance, a recent layoff notice, or a brief conversation with a team member to understand the context. This helps us ensure the resources reach those most critically in need.

How Long Does the Assistance Approval Process Take?

We aim to review all applications and respond to applicants within 7 – 14 business days. The speed of disbursement (gas/grocery card or utility payment) depends on available funds, but we prioritize getting the relief to you as quickly as possible once approved

Yes, absolutely. Confidentiality is a core value of our Community Care program. Your application, personal details, and the nature of your hardship are handled by a small, dedicated team and are never shared publicly or within the wider SSF community. We commit to reviewing all applications with compassion and discretion.

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Yes. SSF is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  All financial donations are tax-deductible. You will receive a giving statement at the end of each calendar year.

Where Does the Proceeds from the Apparel Shop Actually Go?

100% of the net proceeds from every apparel sale are dedicated to funding our Community Care programs, specifically for relieving financial pressure related to utility bills and gas expenses for Christian singles in our ministry.
